Leadership and History
TemperdTek is a veteran-owned company founded to bring enterprise-grade security, technology, and expertise to small and mid-sized businesses—without the enterprise-level complexity or cost.
Ron Spradlin, a U.S. Army veteran and seasoned cybersecurity leader, began working as an independent IT and security consultant in 1994, helping businesses modernize their infrastructure and protect their data long before cybersecurity became a boardroom priority. From 1994 to 2010, Ron provided hands-on consulting services across a wide range of industries—building a deep understanding of both the technical and operational challenges that organizations face at every stage of growth.
That consulting foundation, combined with over a decade of executive leadership experience at enterprise organizations like Arhaus, Orlando Health, and NBCUniversal, exposed a critical gap in the market: small businesses face the same cyber threats and operational demands as large enterprises, but often lack access to the same tools, strategies, and expertise.
Ron founded TemperdTek to close that gap. Today, we deliver vCISO consulting, cybersecurity strategy, risk management, IT infrastructure services, and secure communications (VoIP/UCaaS) to small and growing businesses—without the cost or complexity of a full in-house team.
